Due to ongoing construction on railroad crossings in the city, the area around the crossing located on West Churchill Road will be out of commission from 7 - 10:30 a.m. today and Thursday.
The aforementioned railroad crossings, with the sheer strength of time and entropy, have essentially “sunk” into the ground, according to Kenny Footé, Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Public Information Officer.
Kansas City Southern is working in tandem with MDOT in an effort to ensure not only an efficient and successful project, but also a means to relieve the burden on city motorists who rely on that route for quick passing.
