After falling to Lamar to start the season on Tuesday, the Oak Hill Academy Raiders (1-2) were able to play a pair of games at home on Thursday and Friday. The Raiders got their first win on Thursday, but they ended up splitting the two games after a loss to Immanuel on Friday.
They defeated Kirk Academy 49-44 on Thursday, and they lost to the Rams 46-35 on Friday night.
In the win on Thursday, John Wesley Williamson led the team with 16 points scored. Zach Bryan put up 15 points on the night to set the pace for the win.
That win brought the record even at 1-1 before Friday nightâ€™s game.
Against Immanuel, the Raiders could not get the ball into the ocean, missing 14 shots from the paint.
Zach Bryan scored 18 points in that one, and Stephen Jones had five points.
John Wesley Williamson scored three and Reid Posey had four points. Jeb Stevens had three points, and Adam Tumey and J.R. Wilburn had two points each.
In junior high action, the Raiders fell to Kirk in overtime on Thursday 43-39.
Bradley Allen scored 19 points, and Will Kelly had seven points.
On Friday, they rebounded and beat Immanuel 57-35.
Allen had 11 points, and A.J. Aseley scored 10 points.
The Raiders will be back in action on Thursday, as they get set to host Leake Academy. They will also play at home against Indianola on Friday.
