Raiders reloaded in 2011

Oak Hill Academy’s boys basketball coach Brain Middleton is getting a little nervous.

With still about a week left to go before their season opener against Lamar, Middleton is hoping to get off to a better start in 2011.

“We’re working extremely hard,” he said. “We’ve had three very good days of practice and looking forward to getting back into the gym.”

Entering his seventh season, Middleton has his largest squad with 12 players suiting up, a mixture of experience and youth that hope to repeat as division champions, their first title since 1987.

“We’ve gotten better every year,” he said. “And our records have gotten better every year, we’re just looking for that year to turn the corner.”
