After a seven-point loss to district foe Canton Academy on Friday, Oak Hill (16-9; 7-2 MAIS District 2-AA) rebounded with its third non-district triumph over Carroll in the 2013-14 season. The Raiders dominated the three-game series, outscoring the Rebels, 195-122.
Oak Hill pushed a five-point advantage after the first quarter into an 11-point lead at the break, 38-27. Carroll (8-18; 3-5 MAIS District 3-A) could not close the deficit in the second half, losing the final 16 minutes (27-18).
The Raiders needed a solid win before their final District 2-AA contest against the Leake Rebels at 7:45 tonight on the campus of Oak Hill Academy in West Point. A win in the conference finale qualifies Oak Hill a first round bye as the No. 2 seed in the District 2-AA tournament on the campus of Winston Academy in Louisville.
