Plans for a website for the Prairie Arts Festival are underway.

Growth Alliance Director Lisa Klutts said the website will be complete in the few weeks before this year's PAF, and it will feature maps, listing and information about vendors and other information about the annual festival, which will take place September 2.

"The website is being built now," Klutts said. "It will be ready in time for the festival so people can get information about it a week or two beforehand, and pictures will be posted after the festival."

She said T-shirts can be purchased and vendor applications will also be available for future festivals after this year.

"Now vendors and the public won't only be directed to Facebook, and there will be an official Prairie Arts Festival website," she said.

Klutts said the domain name for the PAF, www.prairieartsfestival.org, had been purchased several years ago, but it was being paid for this year through a grant from Mississippi Development Authority Visit Mississippi, which gives grant money for promotion and marketing of events throughout the state.

The 2017 PAF will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on September 2 in downtown West Point.
