In the early hours of Friday morning, the West Point Police Department responded to three separate domestic disturbances at Town Creek Square Apartments.
The second incident resulted in a laceration wound on individual, and a warrant has been issued for Lantra Haughton for aggravated assault.
West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley said on Friday that the initial call was put in just after midnight, and it was pertaining to a disturbance and a man lying on the ground at the rear of the apartment.
Officers did eventually locate the man, but while investigating the incident 911 advised police that another altercation was taking place at the complex, possibly involving a stabbing.
“This investigation revealed that a domestic disturbance had taken place at one of the apartments which resulted in a male receiving a laceration on his lower back,” Brinkley said.
Brinkley says that officers were advised again of a third altercation at Town Creek. Of the three incidents, one subject was arrested and has been charged with simple assault.
Police are still looking for Haughton, who was charged with aggravated assault on Friday.
Investigators are continuing to look into this case, and Brinkley says that new warrants for arrests may be issued in the coming days.
“Anyone with information about this case can call the police department,” Brinkley said.
