Phyllis B. Holland

Phyllis B. Holland age 80, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. Mrs. Holland was born March 5, 1933, in Choctaw County, the daughter of the late Rufus and Vivian Hodges Bowie. She was a Telephone Operator with South Central Bell. She was also the ticket clerk for The Ritz Theatre in West Point. She had also worked in the cafeteria in the West Point School District. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church in Choctaw County. She married Clifton Alton Holland Feb. 23, 1957, and they were married for 57 years.
Funeral services are Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 1 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Larry Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Webster County.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in
charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton A. Holland of West Point; two daughters: Vicky Love (Jimmy) of West Point and Sandy Holland of Columbus; one grandson, Clifton Lee “Cowboy” Love; and one sister, Betty Sue Collier (Shorty) of Ackerman.
Pallbearers are Bill Luther, George Holland, C.M. Miller, Jimmy Love, Jerry Orr, Joe Wright, Bobby Roberts, and Scotty Allen.
Visitation is Wednesday, noon – 1 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
