Ola Mae Johnson Millsaps

Ola Mae Johnson Millsaps, 89, passed away Jan. 22, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson Millsaps was born July 12, 1924, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Wiley Lewis and Jennie Mae Noblin Johnson. She was a waitress at Moore’s Restaurant in West Point. She was also a Clerk at The Fabric Shop. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and attended Pheba Baptist Church. She was a member of Martha Chapter #53 Order of the Eastern Star where she had received her 50 year pin. She married Leonidus Ellis Millsaps Dec. 18, 1943, and he passed away in 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: Robert Eugene and Jerry Wayne Millsaps and by one Brother: Louis Harold Johnson.
Funeral services today, Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery near Montpelier.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include, two sons, Tommy Millsaps (Janice) of Pheba and Nick Millsaps (Betty) of Olive Branch; two grandchildren: Michelle Lee (Stewart) and Carol Ann Barnes; two step-grandchildren: Lorie Parker (Robert) and Andy Morris; four great grandchildren; Christen Lee, Garrett Lee, Haley Hardin and Harley Hardin; and two - step - great -
grandchildren: Cody Parker and Rob Parker.
Pallbearers are Bryant Millsaps, Kim Millsaps, Jimmy Terry, Danny White, Glenn Allen Forrester and Louis Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Friends at Pheba Baptist Church, Friends at Hebron Baptist Church, Nurses and Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice Unit, and Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr.
Memorials may be made to Palestine Cemetery Care Fund, c/o Mr. Jim Murray, 18515 Hwy 46, Pheba, MS 39755.
Visitation is today, from 1 – 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
