LADY RAIDERS 31, LADY PATRIOTS 37

LOUISVILLE — The Oak Hill Lady Raiders dropped their second District 2-AA game against the Winston Lady Patriots, 37-31, Tuesday evening on the campus of Winston Academy.
With a minute remaining, Oak Hill faced a two-point deficit, but failed to convert the front-end of a bonus free-throw opportunity. Winston’s senior Marianne Ward was advantageous with the miss, turning her charity stripe opportunity into two points on the other end after Oak Hill’s intentional foul, 35-31. Ward added two more free throws in the final minute to secure the Lady Patriot’s victory, as she finished the night with 12 points in Winston’s fourth conference triumph.
