Sarah Dill scored 21 points and pulled down seven rebounds, helping the Oak Hill Lady Raiders defeat the Marshall Lady Raiders, 51-31, in a MAIS non-district game Friday night at Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
“We shot pretty good and held their best player scoreless,” Oak Hill Head Coach Stan Hughey said. “We ran some different offensive sets and had a good night in general. The seniors played well.”
Freshman Tanner Grubbs scored eight points for the Lady Raiders, Macie Allen added five points with three rebounds and senior Bet Langley added four points.
Hughey was satisfied with new offensive sets his team ran prior to the start of the District 2-AA tournament Tuesday at Winston Academy in Louisville.
“At this time of the season, I always put sets in to complement our personnel,” Hughey said. “We ran a set with three posts, a high-low set and other things. We were more patient tonight, and we want to have our continuation work better, especially this time of the season.”
