OAK HILL SPLITS WITH CANTON IN DISTRICT 2-AA

The Oak Hill Lady Raiders (16-11; 5-4 District 2-AA) pieced together a team-effort win over the Canton Lady Panthers, 46-36, in the second leg of a MAIS District 2-AA on the campus of Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
Maegan Ellis led the Lady Raiders for a redeeming win over the Lady Panthers. Canton defeated Oak Hill on Jan. 10 in Canton, 35-34.
The senior point guard scored a team-high 14 points while in foul trouble throughout the 32 minutes of action. Oak Hill freshman Tanner Grubbs was advantageous with her limited two quarters in varsity action, scoring 10 points (80 percent shooting) and grabbing three rebounds.
The Lady Raiders expanded 10-5 first quarter lead into double digits by the intermission, 26-14.
Sophomore Macie Allen scored eight points and collected nine rebounds for Oak Hill. Senior Bet Langley tallied seven points with six rebounds.
