The month of October brings cooler temperatures, colorful leaves and the beginning of the fall season with Halloween.
Outside of these autumn occurrences, the Oak Hill Raider football team knows that October brings increasingly important football games if the Raiders want to return to the MAIS Class-AA playoffs in November this season.
“It’s definitely important to get a good start tonight, hopefully this will be an October to remember,” Oak Hill second-year head coach Daniel Merchant said about his team rising to the occasion this month.
In Merchant’s first season, Oak Hill capitalized on the four games played in October, winning the final three contests of the regular season and punching its ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
