In the fourth, Marshall once again out-scored the Lady Raiders 11-9, forcing another period after regulation was complete.
The Lady Raiders had a good overtime period, scoring 10 points. A three point shot at the buzzer for Marshall made it a two-point game, but that was all they could do.
Besides Ellis’ 20 point second half, Rachel Herndon scored eight points on the night. Katelyn White had five points and eight rebounds.
“Katelyn came off the bench and played really well for us,” Hughey said.
Shay Atkins and Kayla Hall had four points, and Paige Dawkins and Maegan Ellis scored two each. Anna Ready had one point and seven rebounds, and Kim Kelly contributed one point in the game.
