The Leake Academy Lady Rebels’ head coach Doyle Wolverton now has the most wins of any girls basketball coach in the state, with over 1,000.
Tonight, Wolverton and his Lady Rebels will be paying a visit to the Lady Raiders of Oak Hill Academy.
The visit comes on the heels of the Lady Raiders’ biggest margin of victory yet in the early part of the season.
After a loss to Kirk last Thursday, the Lady Raiders came out and responded with a Friday night victory over the Immanuel Lady Rams.
That was a 63-22 victory that saw shooter Tori Ellis break out with 23 points.
Ellis and the Lady Raiders will be looking to better their record, which stands now at 3-3.
The Lady Raider junior high team will also be playing tonight.
They will kick off all of the action with a game at 4 p.m.
That will be followed by the boys junior high game, setting up the two high school games.
