Oak Hill falls to Lamar

February 28, 2011

With a week under their belt, the Oak Hill Diamond Raiders are starting to come around offensively. The team put up 13 runs against Hebron on Thursday night, and the lost by just one against Lamar on
Saturday.
In Thursday's game, Oak Hill jumped all over a young Eagles team for 10 early runs.
Tres Turner had two hits, along with a pair from Conner Baird.
Clay Henley got three hits, and Kody Riley had three hits, including two doubles.
Cole Fowler, Chance Livingston and Riley Pierce jumped all over three pitches for a double each. Jeb Stevens also had two hits in the game.
When the Raiders visited Lamar, it looked like they had the game sown up late. Riley had a slim lead in the sixth, but Lamar had the tying and winning runs on base. After an intentional walk, the tying run was balked in.
After that, a swinging bunt by Lamar brought across the winning-run.
In that game, Baird had two hits. Cole Fowler had two as well, including a two-run home run.
Tres Turner had a hit, along with Kody Riley.
The Raiders are scheduled to play Starkville Academy, away, this afternoon.
