It’s not a tournament, but for the Oak Hill basketball program, it’s sure going to feel like one before the weekend is over. The Oak Hill hoops squads will be completing a three-day stretch of games tonight and tomorrow.
After playing Calhoun Academy last night, Oak Hill will play a district match against Carroll tonight, and they will make up Tuesday night’s games with Winston tomorrow.
Playing in the Kirk Academy Tournament last weekend, Oak Hill will try to build off the wins each team got on the final day of the tourney, readying them for this latest stretch.
The Oak Hill teams are no strangers to the Carroll teams. They hosted the Rebel squads just before the break, nailing down a pair of wins against them in the December 17 doubleheader.
Tonight, they will face the Rebels at their place.
On tomorrow, the Oak Hill teams will be back home, starting with some peewee action at 8 a.m.
The junior high teams will face Winston starting at 2 p.m., and the varsity girls will play their make-up game following those matches.
Oak Hill will be back on the road on Monday night, at Heritage, following with a game in Yazoo City against Manchester on January 21. They will return home to face Hebron on January 24.
