Newly-elected Turner to speak at Legislative Breakfast

February 22, 2013

Clay County residents will get a chance to speak with the newly-elected state Senator Angela Turner in West Point.
After a week off due to last Monday’s holiday, the West Point Growth Alliance’s Legislative Breakfast is back on for tomorrow, and it will feature Turner for the first time as senator.
Turner was elected on January 15, and she represents citizens in Clay, Oktibbeha, Lowndes and Noxubee Counties.
Since joining the legislature at the Capitol last month, Turner has been able to weigh in on a host of issues, including education reform.
The Breakfast’s previous speakers, Rep. Tyrone Ellis and Rep. Gary Chism both spoke on this topic.
Turner is a native of Clay County.
