Nanette Dodson Rainey

Nanette Dodson Rainey, age 93, passed away Monday Aug. 23, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Rainey was born July 25, 1917, in Dossville, to the late George Dodson and Exa Cook. She was a member of First Methodist Church and helped start Pink Ladies and Sally Kate Winters Memorial ChildrenĂ…fs Home.
A memorial service is Thursday Aug. 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Robinson Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Shannon officiating.
She is survived by her two children: George Leach (Nell) of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mahaska Whitley (Tom) of Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandchildren: Darryl Leach (Aimee) of Murfreesboro, Tenn., David Edwin Leach (Jan) of Little Rock, Ark., Frank Whitley, Nanette O’Kelley (Patrick) both of Tallahassee, Fla.; six great grandchildren: Joshua Casey Leach, James David Leach, Lauren Hudson Leach, Steven Maxim ÅeMaxÅf Leach, Tyler Mahaska O’Kelley, Patricia Braden O’Kelley; one great-great grandchild, Robert Alexander; sister and brother-in-law: Delle and Bill Baker; six nieces and four nephews including, Danny Rainey of West Point; numerous great nieces and nephews including: Daniel Rainey and Brooks Rainey Magee; caretakers: Liz Ann Butler, Emma McFarland; Home Health Care Nurse, Elizabeth Denson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, David Eli Rainey; and her daughter, Nanette Lou Rainey.
