Municipal elections today at the Civic

May 6, 2013

The day has finally come for municipal elections in West Point.
Many voters statewide are heading to the polls to decide who their city leaders will be.
West Point voters have quite a few choices to make themselves today, as the Civic opens at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m.
Each of the five selectmen posts for the city are to be decided today, as well as the town’s top post of mayor.
Mayor Scott Ross withdrew his name from the ballot earlier this year, leaving Darlene Cox and Robbie Robinson as the two remaining candidates for that position.
Weather conditions are predicted to be mostly sunny with a high of 76 degrees, according to weather.com.
