Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor Robertson
Lindsey Moore Parker and John Taylor Robertson were united in marriage Mar. 27, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus, Miss. Bro. Mickey Dalrymple officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Smith of West Point, Miss., and the late Floyd Parker Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Robertson of West Point, Miss.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Raymond Lucas of West Point, Miss. The bridal gown was a Maggie Sorrero in french taffeta with a sweetheart neckline, a-line with beaded embroidery and a satin sash. She carried a bouquet of white roses, green orchids, purple hydrangeas and white and plum calla lillies.
The maid of honor was Lucy Nickels of Columbus, Miss., the bridesmaides were Angie Gallop of Columbus, Miss., Alison Elmore of Columbus, Miss., Amy Burris of Columbus, Miss., Brittany Oglesby of Columbus, Miss., Lauren Webb of Meridian, Miss., Kala Knox of Amory, Miss., and Melissa Easley of Amory, Miss.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore plum asymmetrical draping strapless dresses made of taffeta. They carried bouquets of purple and blue hydrangeas mixed with white and plum calla lillies.
Honorary bridesmaids were Abby Forrester, Melissa Carter and Kelli Noland, all of Columbus, Miss.
The best man was Scot Bryan, brother of the groom of West Point, Miss., the groomsmen were Justin Davis of West Point, Miss., Hunter Dyess of Columbia, Miss., Jamie Snell of West Point, Miss., Brandon McGarity of West Point, Miss., Matt Glusenkamp of West Point, Miss., Joseph Huffman of West Point, Miss., and Welch Parker of Columbus, Miss.
The flower girl and ring bearer were Bailey Smith and Jacan Smith of West Point, Miss.
Ushers were Jason Ingram of West Point, Miss., Nick Bohon of West Point, Miss., and Parker Temple of Meridian Miss.
The pianist was Mrs. Vaughn Nickels, solists were Emily Muckelroy and Amy Burris.
Wedding coordinators were Margaret Reed and Linda Dortch of Columbus, Miss.
The reception was at the Trotter Convention Center in Columbus, Miss. Guests enjoyed hor' d ourves from several different food stations catered by Bridget Harding of Caledonia, Miss. Music was provided by the band More Cowbell of Birmingham, Ala.
The wedding cake was a five tiered vanilla cake made by Lenny Ring of Columbus, Miss.
The groom's cake was a large red velvet cake adorned with a hunting scene made by Vickie Wilson of Caledonia, Miss.
The wedding rehearsal was held on the eve of the wedding at he Holiday Inn Ballroom in Columbus, Miss., by the grooms parents.
The newly married couple honeymooned at Sandals Resort and Spa in St. Lucia.
Mr. and Mrs. John Robertson now reside in Northport, Ala.
