Miller, Wilson named to All-State Second Team Offense

December 18, 2011

The final list has been completed for the high school football season, and West Point was represented.

Offensive lineman Carson Miller and Romia Wilson were named to the All-State Second Team Offense by the Clarion-Ledger this weekend.

Miller and Wilson, both seniors, helped the Green Wave reach the second round of the 5A playoffs this season and finish with an overall record of 8-5.

Wilson played for Mississippi in the MS/AL All-Star game two weeks ago while Miller suited up for the North in the Bernard Blackwell game this past Saturday in Biloxi.

"You can never do enough as a coach, there just is't enough time," Green Wave head coach Chris Chambless said of his seniors accomplishments in 2011. "These seniors have done their job to continue the success of our program. They have set an example of hard work on the field and in the classroom."
