Mickey Newman Moseley

Mickey Newman Moseley, 90, passed away, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point.
Mickey was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Utica, to the late Ruby Pearl Hennington and George Dewey Newman Sr. Mickey was a graduate of Blue Mountain College. She taught High School English at Montpelier High School for 1 year, then worked 29 years with Clay County Welfare Department in Human Resources. Mrs. Moseley was a member of First Christian Church of West Point. She married Bennie Dexter Moseley in 1945, at Montpelier, he preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1981.
Graveside funeral services are today, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, 1 p.m. with Rev. Ed Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Utica Cemetery at Utica. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three brothers: George D. Newman, Jr. of Covington, Tenn., Charles Newman (Laney) of Ethel, Sam Newman (Debbie) of Florence; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Thomas Newman.
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
Visitation is at the cemetery Tuesday, 12:45 p.m until service time.
