Mattye Mildred Rodgers

Mattye Mildred Rodgers, age 82, of West Point, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Rodgers was born on Oct. 25, 1927, in Kilmichael, to the late John A. Watson and Hattie Bell Donahoo. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of West Point First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her three daughters: Kim Rodgers Harmon of West Point, Kay Rodgers Talbot of Byhalia, and Tracy Rodgers McVaugh of Columbus; one sister, Margaret Colbert (Max) of Cedar Bluff; two brothers: Corky Watson (Joy) of Cedar Bluff and John W. Watson of Cedar Bluff; six grandchildren: Lyle Harmon, Leigh Harmon Harpole, Marcus Wright, Allison Wright Cantello, Chris Rodgers, Emma Claire Rodgers; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rodgers is preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Rodgers and her son, Tommy Rodgers.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with Robbie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Stephen Pyle, Marcus Wright, Joseph Halechko, Jimmy Donahoo, Greg Bennett and Kent Watson.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
