Mary Simmons Taylor

Mary Simmons Taylor, age 84, passed away, July 13, 2011, at the Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.
Mary Simmons Taylor was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Clay County, Miss., to the late Susie Mae Myers and Ralph W. Simmons. She was a Laboratory Technician and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
There will be no funeral services. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Her remains were donated to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.
Survivors include one daughter, Nora Caterina of Columbus; three nephews: Tommy Simmons (Carolyn), Granville Simmons (Kay) and Larry Simmons; niece, Mary Beth Hankins (Steven); two sisters in law: Nellie Simmons and June Simmons. Brothers, Clyde “Hambone” Simmons, Thomas W. “Nick” Simmons, and C. A. Simmons preceded her in death.
