Mary Ruth Bedford Hemphill

Mary Ruth Bedford Hemphill, age 91, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. She was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Pratt, Miss. Mrs. Hemphill was a teacher and a member of First Baptist Church. She was active in girl scout leadership and in PTA when her children were younger. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A private family service is Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hemphill is survived by her husband, Arthur Robert Hemphill of West Point, Miss.; one son, Robert David Hemphill (Toby) of West Point, Miss.; two daughters: Nancy Hemphill Taylor (Tommy) of Tupelo, Miss., and Carol Ann Hemphill Vest (Steve) of Beverly Hills, Fla.; five grandchildren: Michael Hemphill, Brad Taylor, Katie Taylor, Madison Taylor, Quinn McKee; and one great-grandchild, Robert Hemphill.
Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
