Mary Frances Cummings

Mary Frances Cummings age 93, was born Dec. 2, 1920, to the late George Green Moore and Josephine Nash.
She departed this life Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at her home. She was a faithful member of Hopewell M.B. Church until her health failed.
She is survived by six daughters: Josie Mae Davenport (W.T.) of Cedar Bluff, Pearline Shine and Betty Mitchell both of Kansas, City, Mo., Carrie Smith of Atlanta, Ga., and Betty Townsend (Calvin Sr.) of West Point, Merrion Cummings of Cedar Bluff; two sons: Perry Cummings Sr., and Eugene Cummings of Cedar Bluff; one brother, Uylsses Moore (Margaret) of Chicago, Ill.; 32 grandchildren, 48 great – grandchildren and 71 great – great – grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Hopewell M.B. Church with Rev. Carl Perry and Rev. Eugene Brandon of Houston, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at the J.F. Carter Memorial Chapel from 3 – 6 p.m.
Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
