Mary Ann Rainey Stafford

Mary Ann Rainey Stafford, 65, passed away on March 14, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in West Point. Mrs. Mary Ann was born October 25, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Kenneth T. and Anna Marie Folz Rainey.
She was raised in Memphis, TN. She was a homemaker and attended Christ United Methodist Church IN West Point. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Memphis, TN. She married Larry Boyd Stafford on October 24, 1970, in Memphis, TN. She loved her pets Tiny and Jet. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, monogramming, playing bingo, fishing, collecting beanie babies, “cutting up” with people, and helping with Area 6 Special Olympics. Mary Ann was a life member of American Legion Auxillary Unit #69, LeFemme-Cabane Unit #1593, VFW Ladies Auxillary #4272 where she was Past District #9 President for a number of years, and the Girl Scouts Heart of the South.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 2 p.m.. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Sarah Windham officiating and assisted by Chaplain Betty Wyatt. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include Her Husband Larry B. Stafford of West Point; Two Daughters, Teresa Stafford of Thompson Station, TN, and Edith S. McDonald (Leslie) of West Point; Two Sisters, Ellen Rainey Summers of Yuma, AZ, and Tina Rainey Younger of Horn Lake, MS; One Brother, Kenneth Rainey of Paris, TN.
Pallbearers will be James Brantley, Michael Elliott, Calvin Boswell, Lee Townley, John Scarbrough, and Clayton Verdin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Clark, Robbie Robinson, David Mason, Johnny Richards, Mike Dodson, Deanie Forbes, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Department of Mississippi, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4272, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #69, LeFemme-Cabane #1593, and the Staff of North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice
Memorial may be made to the Tombigbee Shrine Club, C/O Larry B. Stafford, 561 East Churchhill Road, West Point, MS 39773.
Visitation will be Monday 5-8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
