Martha Hunt Foster, age 84, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the Grace Living Center, Edmond, Okla.
Martha Ann Foster was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Quincy, Miss. to the late Minnie Mae Price andOtto Clyde Hunt. Mrs. Foster was a barber by trade. She was a member of the West Point Church of God and the Martha Chapter #53 Order of the Eastern Star. Martha Hunt Foster married Lee Olen Foster May 13, 1942, in Caledonia, Miss., and he preceded her in death July 8, 2009.
Funeral services are Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 4 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Al Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in Columbus Memorial Garden Cemetery, Columbus, Miss. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Missy Worthen of Edmond, Okla.; one son, Larry Olen Foster (Petra) of West Point, Miss.;
Eight grandchildren: Nichole Gernjak, Charles Parmamore, Travis Paramore, David Foster, Brian Paramore, Kimberly Sparks, Anthony Foster and Joey Harvey; nine great- grandchildren; two sisters: Geneva Gilliland of Jacksonville, Fla., Gladys Miller of Crowder, Miss. Brothers: Charles Hunt, Ernest Hunt and Alvin Hunt, and sisters Jeaneane Hunt, and Frances Yarbrough of Columbus, Miss., preceded her in death,
Pallbearers are Charles Paramore, Travis Paramore, Brian Michael Paramore, Kenneth Wooten, Jeff Wooten, and Danny Wooten.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Andrew Wartak, Members of West Point Church of God, George Ballard, John Sparks,
Dee and Louise Rhea, Christine Angle, and Miriam Elmore.
Visitation is Saturday, at 3 p.m. until service time at Calvert Funeral Home.
