Marshall Henry ‘Sonny’ Austin, Jr.

Marshall Henry "Sonny" Austin, Jr., 71, passed away, on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at West
Point Community Living Center. He was born October 20, 1942 in Lauderdale County Mississippi to the late Girtie
Barnette Austin and Marshall Henry Austin, Sr. “Sonny” was a Truck Driver and of the Baptist faith. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Berlin Crisis.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Brother Ben Yarber officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy Encinas (Patrick) of Phoenix, Arizon; one son, Marshall "Mike" Perry Austin of San Marcos, TX; five grandchildren; one sister, Rita A. Christopher (Al) of West Point; one brother, Garey Austin (Pat) of Tuscumbia, AL Preceding him in death was his brother Charles "Chuck" Austin.
Pallbearers will be Paxton Austin, Eddie Ricks, Billy Bennett, Jimmy Littlefield, Lynn Allen Rogers, and Danny Rogers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
