March 9, 2013

Rodriques L. Nelson

A Thursday night traffic stop on East Main quickly escalated into a hot pursuit down Eshman Ave. where one man was eventually caught, arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, officials from the Mississippi Highway Patrol informed Clay County 911 dispatchers that a man was driving recklessly into Clay County, almost colliding head-on with another vehicle as he drove west from Columbus. The driver, 25-year-old Rodriques L. Nelson, was soon stopped, and after being asked for identification Nelson fled the scene within minutes and was later caught on College Street.
