The fourth annual Making Hay Day will be from 9 a.m. until noon on Oct. 7 at Sally Kate Winters Park.

Growth Alliance Director Lisa Klutts said vendors will be set up selling baked goods, fall vegetables including pumpkins, homemade soups and handmade crafts during Making Hay Day.

“It is just like the farmers’ market in the summer,” she said. “Everything has to be homegrown or handmade.”

Booths are $5 to set up. Contact Klutts at the Grow Alliance at 494-5121 to sign up to set up a booth.

Klutts said there will also be a hay ride around downtown and old-fashioned games for kids at the festival.

She said the event is free to attend, and a bundle of tickets for the hayride and games can be purchased for $5.

“We’ve had a good turnout in the past,” Klutts said. “Its a fun way for the whole family to spend the morning celebrating fall.”
