Maggie Plunk Daniels

Maggie Plunk Daniels, age 102, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Dugan Memorial Home.
Maggie Bell Plunk Daniels was born Jan. 22, 1909, in McNairy County, Tenn., to the late Mary Viola Whitney and William Bell Plunk. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was married to James Otis Daniels Dec. 4, 1929, in Booneville, and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1996.
Funeral services are Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Billie Mayo of West Point; and son, Jimmy P. Daniels (Thomasine) of Lauderdale; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was the last one of nine children having four sisters and four brothers. Her daughter Peggy Gullahorn preceded her in death in 2009.
Pallbearers are Harrison Golson, Zachary Golson, Caleb Gullahorn, Danny Gullahorn, Tommy Gullahorn, Richard Daniels, and Andy Barnhill.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Heinkle, Jay Golson, Jamie Martin, Dr. T. N. Braddock, and Dr. John Cox.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 797, West Point, MS 39773.
Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, from noon – 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
