Lyon-Killingsworth engagement

Dr. and Mrs. George Davis Lyon Jr., of Starkville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Lyon of Brandon, to Daniel Ryan Killingsworth of Ridgeland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Killingsworth of Elburn, Ill., formerly of West Point.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mona Manning Lyon of Clarksdale, and the late George Davis Lyon, Sr., and also the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carlton Frazier of Clinton.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Starkville Academy and a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor of arts in communications with an emphasis in broadcasting. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
Miss Lyon is currently employed as the National Sales assistant with WDBD Fox 40 News in Jackson.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Troy Cecil Sumler of Caledonia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Killingsworth of Fayette, Ala.
He is a 2000 graduate of Oak Hill Academy in West Point. He received a bachelor of business administration in management of construction and land development from Mississippi State University in 2005. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Mr. Killingsworth is currently employed as a project estimator at Jay Bearden Construction, Inc., in Richland.
The couple will exchange vows on October 16, 2010, at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Starkville. A reception will follow at the Hunter Henry Center on the Mississippi State University campus.
