Louise Blansett Hirter

Louise Blansett Hirter, age 79, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.
Mrs. Hirter was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Clay County to the late Sallie Liza Russell and Ollie M. Blansett.
She worked as a waitress and later as an Avon Saleslady. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. Louise Blansett Hirter married Floyd Andrew Hirter on Mar. 6, 1970, he preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1998.
Funeral services are Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. from West End Baptist Church with Brother Mike Mathena officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hirter is survived by: one daughter, Marie Linder (Perry) of Gilbertown, Ala.; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Omar Neil Blansett (Barbara) of Pheba. One son, Weston Smith and brother Bennie F. Blansett, also predeceased her.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Tyson, Dusty Welford, Paul Clardy, Mark Stafford, Dickie Haga, and Chase Sikes.
Honorary pallbearers are her great grandhildren, Bea and Eddie Giles, and the Deacons of West End Baptist Church.

Visitation is today from 5 - 8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home and Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, 9 - 10 a.m. at West End Baptist Church in West Point.
