Lora Mae "Nannie" Davis

Lora Mae "Nannie" Davis, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Lora Mae Davis was born April 12, 1920, in Ingomar, to the late Lena Swords and Clifford C. Raines. Mrs. Davis worked at Knickerbocker Manufacturing for 20 years. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. Her husband Jewell Hayward Davis, preceded her in death on February 15, 1970.
Funeral services are today, Sunday, August 1, 2010, at 3 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Jerome Key officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Jill Renee Shurden (David) of West Point; two sons: Billy Davis (Joyce) and Donald Roy Davis all of West Point; six grandchildren: Timmy Davis, Melissa Vest, Teresa Atkins, Mitch Shurden, Monica May, and Tabbie Hazzard; six great grandchildren: Thomas Griffin, Carl Griffin, Jonathon Hazzard, Katelyn Vest, Murff Davis, Hamp Chism; and three great-great grandchildren: Kaleb Griffin, Landon Griffin, and Emma Kate Griffin; three brothers: W. C. Raines of Ft. Smith, Ark., Larry Raines of Crenshaw, Bobby Raines of Little Rock, Ark.
Pallbearers are Thomas Griffin, Carl Griffin, Tim Davis, Mitch Shurden, Jonathon Hazzard, and John Hazzard.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr., the staff of the North Miss. Medical Center-West Point, including the Green Pod Nurses, Dietary, X-Ray, and the Respiratory Staffs.
