Local man to host first ever ‘Back to School at Town Creek’ event

September 10, 2013

Lester Moore only wants the best for his community. A West Point resident, Moore is doing his part to bring something positive to the children of Town Creek Apartments with a community celebration.

Beginning at noon on Saturday, Moore will host “Back-to-School at Town Creek,” which will include inflatables, volleyball, games and other activities for children living in the complex. In addition, organizers will hold a cookout and gospel entertainment for those in attendance. The goal, Moore said, is to bring a positive impact to the community, while providing a service to children of low income and an opportunity for residents to socialize in a family atmosphere.
