Everyone wants the healthiest environment for their children. For this reason, Stephanie Collier project director of Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition, wants to help make West Point a smoke-free community. The Tobacco Free Coalition met Wednesday morning at the Bryan Public Library to talk to community leaders, business owners and people who would like to work with the Tobacco Free Coalition. Collier wants to bring a non-smoking ordinance to West Point, much like the one in place in Tupelo and Starkville.

“We want to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco usage and second-hand smoke,” said Collier. “Starkville already has a no-smoking ordinance and we want that to include the entire Golden Triangle.”
