During the board meeting, Joey Moore, wished to speak to the board regarding the curfew.
"My understanding is that the board approved going back to 10 p.m. and it was based on a rise in the COVID-19 death rate," Moore said. "In Clay County the numbers are on the decrease. As of yesterday, on the [Mississippi Department of Health] website, deaths from COVID between Jan. 1 and Feb. 1, in Clay County, [was two]. The death rate is going down all over the state."

See tomorrow's Daily Times Leader for more details about the board meeting.
