MAYHEW — The Golden Triangle Development LINK will officially unveil the findings of an extensive regional economic development study at 9 a.m. today at East Mississippi Community College.
POLICOM Corporation, a Florida-based independent economic research firm, conducted the study and corporation president William Fruth will present the study’s findings and recommendations. Fruth, according to the firm’s website, has evaluated data for more than 700 local economies throughout the United states, has created more than 200 economic and community studies and has offered presentations and workshops for state-national associations and community forums in 39 states.
Fruth presented a shortened version of the program to elected officials from the tri-county region Monday ahead of the official public unveiling.
Fruth has previously conducted economic studies for counties in the Golden Triangle. The current study is the first he’s done for the region as a whole.
