Leonard S. Wray Jr.

Leonard S. Wray Jr., age 91, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford.
He was a retired railroad clerk for ICG Railroad, a farmer, and a member of Artesia Methodist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran, where he was a Merrill's Marauder and he also served in Here's Your Infantry. He received the bronze star, a silver star and other medals.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Shook Wray; and son, Leonard S. Wray, III.
He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Wray Warren (Bobby) of Aberdeen, and Elizabeth (Beth) Wray Thomas (Tim) of Starkville; son, David Wray of The Woodlands, Texas; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Wray is today, Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Graveside services are Friday, June 1, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
