Lann, Allen engagement
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henley Lann III of Aberdeen announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirby Elizabeth Lann, to Louis Brock Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Anthony Allen of Aberdeen.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joe Edward Grissom of Aberdeen and Mrs. Betty Grissom and her husband Glen of Columbus and Mr. Walter Henley Lann, Jr. and his wife Patti of Aberdeen and the late Mary Avis Lann.
She is a graduate of Oak Hill Academy in West Point, and is a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology in December 2007 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is employed by Columbus Cardiovascular Care as the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Columbus.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Louis Leroy Simmons and the late Della McDonald Simmons of Aberdeen and Mrs. Antoinette Sloan Allen and the late Boyd Edward Allen of Aberdeen.
He is a graduate of Amory High School and a 2004 graduate of Itawamba Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Mississippi Medical Centerâ€™s Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. He is employed by Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. on at Faith Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen.
A reception will follow at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point. The ceremony and reception will be private.
