Oak Hill once showed why defense is their bread and butter. They can shoot pretty good too.
Friday night, the Lady Raiders had one of their best defensive performances of the season with a 62-19 win over Canton. The victory moves them to 18-5 on the year, but more importantly 5-0 in MAIS District 2AA.

In the two games prior, especially against Marshall, the girls were able to shut down the opponents top offensive weapon.
Oak Hill wasted no time early in the ball game to score, grabbing a 12-4 lead with 4:23 left on the clock. By the end of the of the first, they had a 20-4 advantage and held Canton to just one field goal from the floor.
The defense continued in the second as Oak Hill allowed just four points while the offense exploded and by halftime, the girls had a 31-point cushion, 39-8.
In the second half, the starters were able to get some rest while the rest of the girls continued to score points as well as play solid defense, only four points allowed in the third quarter.
The victory is the third in a row for the Lady Raiders who hit the road Saturday for a rematch with Leake. A complete recap will be in the Tuesday edition of the Daily Times Leader.
Tori Ellis led the girls with 20-points and 10 rebounds including a trio of 3-pointers.
Maegan Ellis had 19-points and six steals while Shay Atkins cleaned the boards with a team-high 11-rebounds. Rachel Herndon rounded out the top scorers with 10.
