RAIDERS 54,
THUNDERBIRDS 34

GRENADA – Chance Wilson scored 14 points with eight rebounds, helping Oak Hill capitalize in its finale in the Kirk Academy 2014 Basketball Classic with a 54-34 win over DeSoto School (Ark.) Saturday morning.
The Raiders’ Drake Riley scored nine points, shooting three of six from the free-throw line. After scoring double digits in the past three games, Oak Hill’s Drew Riley only registered five points along with two other teammates, sophomore Heath Ford and junior Riley Pierce.
Oak Hill (12-7; 2-1 District 2-AA) pulled down 47 rebounds in the win and were led by the efforts of the Riley twins, Drake and Drew, with nine boards each.
The Raiders trailed the Thunderbirds after the first eight minutes by nine points but rallied during the second quarter, outpacing the Thunderbirds before halftime for a seven-point advantage, 27-20. The Raiders held onto the lead during final two quarters by limiting DeSoto to single-digit scoring in the third and fourth quarters.
