Lady Raiders dominate in district opener over Immanuel

December 8, 2012

Oak Hill started off on the right foot in district play with a Tuesday night sweep of Immanuel.
The Lady Raiders won convincingly in a 53-11 pounding of the Lady Rams to begin their chase for a district championship. Oak Hill distributed the scoring load all throughout the roster and forced 30 turnovers while committing only 10 of their own. Immanuel had no answers for the Lady Raiders, who were scoring at will. Oak Hill, now 7-2 on the year, advanced to 1-0 in conference play and will face Winston Academy in Louisville Friday night.
Anna Ready led all scorers with 14 points, followed closely by Shay Atkins with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Maegen Ellis added seven points of her own, while Sarah Dill finished with five on the night. Lauren Billington and Anna Grace Hemphill scored four points a piece, and Rachel Herndon poured in three points. Bet Langley, Kelci Jo Langford, and Sydney Holton each added a bucket to round out the scoring for Oak Hill.
