Lady Eagles look to keep undefeated district record

The Hebron Christian Lady Eagles have been really good to start the 2010-2011 season. The only problem they have had lately is that they have played back-to-back games against two of the toughest opponents they might face this season.
The first of those contestants was the always dangerous Leake Academy girls. They were the first team to defeat Hebron this season, and they did that last Saturday.
The second defeat for the Lady Eagles came against a cross county competitor in Oak Hill Academy.
They faced off against each other on Monday night, and though Hebron had a sizable first quarter lead, the Lady Raiders came back to take the game in the end.
Tonight, the Lady Eagles are looking to snap this rare two-game slide, and they are going to need to do that against a district rival at Central Holmes Academy.
Coming into tonight’s game, the Lady Eagles boast a 4-0 district record, having defeated Winston, Central, Kemper and Immanuel with ease.
The Lady Eagles have been getting some very solid play out of players like Cathryn Moore, Hillary Arnold, Magen Tapley and Tori Nichols.
With Nichols out almost the entire second half of Monday’s game, it was the first three who kept Hebron close in the loss to Oak Hill.
The Lady Eagles will tip off at 6 p.m. in Lexington tonight.
