On Tuesday night, the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles junior high team (14-4) got back on the court for the first time in 2011.
It took the first half to shake off the rust, but they eventually overcame Winston Academy 27-20.
In the first quarter, Winston out-scored Hebron 8-2. In the second, Winston repeated for another eight points, and they held the Lady Eagles to seven.
Down by six at the half, the Lady Eagles needed some good defense in the second, and they got just that.
Hebron held the Winston girls to just four points, and those were all on free throws.
Meanwhile, the offense scored 18 points over the next two quarters to get a seven point advantage over the visitors.
Alaina Hill led the team on the night with 13 points. McKenna Gammel scored eight, and Subrina Oswalt scored five.
Shelby Arnold scored a single point for Hebron as well.
The Lady Eagles play again tonight at Carroll, starting at 4 p.m.
