Hebron Christian struggled offensively Thursday afternoon, losing a 10 point lead in the third quarter and eventually falling to Delta Academy 49-40 in the second round of the Winona Christian School pre-season tournament.
"It was just a poor shooting performance," head coach William Cotton said. "We were doing what we needed to do, just couldn't get the shots that we wanted."
"Hopefully this will be a little wake up call for us," he added. "This is a lesson learned early in the season."
Tori Nichols finished a team-high 22 points, followed by Alaina Hill and Subrina Osealt with seven apiece. Beverly Blake rounded out the scoring with half a dozen.
The girls will be back in action Saturday for a loser's bracket match up with Calhoun. Tip-off is set for 3:30 pm.
