COLUMBUS - Despite a 25-point performance from Tori Nichols, Heritage Academy pulled out a nail biter Tuesday night, clipping the Lady Eagles 54-44.
Down by six points after the opening quarter Hebron (2-2) scored seven points in the last two minutes to take a 21-19 lead before Rachel Hollivay's put back on a rebound tied it at 21 at the buzzer for Heritage.
Hebron started the third quarter on a hot streak once again, going on a 6-2 run before Heritage grabbed a 30-29 lead with 3:15 to play and shut down the Lady Eagles for the rest of the quarter, scoring nine unanswered points to grab a 39-10 advantage heading into the final period.
Back-to-back three pointers by Nichols, who had four on the night, kept the game close early in the fourth 42-36, but Heritage proved to strong down the stretch to hold on for the win.
Alaina Hill finished with 13 and Subrina Oswalt chipped in with five.
