Josephine Alesia Johnson , age 87,passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at West Point Community Living Center.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Gallatin, Tenn., to the late Robbie Sullivan and Herman Southern. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services are today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Robinson Chapel, with the Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Point. Pallbearers are Steven Johnson, Stephen Harpole, Will Harpole, Charlie Dichiara, Leonard Dichiara, Johnathan Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers are Jake Harpole.
She is survived by a son, Charles Alan Johnson of West Point; a daughter, Joann Johnson of Meridian; two grandchildren: Danah Susan Harpole, Alan Steven Johnson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Johnson; and sister, Wilma Southern Stabler.
