Jessie Kate Davidson
Jessie Kate Davidson, age 73, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 1, 2011.
She was born to Levi and Amiree Reese Sims at Atlanta, Miss. She was a member of Pheba Baptist Church where she served as nursery co-ordinator, WMU Leader, sang in the choir and was in the Ella Carty Sunday School Class, and was a substitute sunday school teacher and any other job she was called to do. Mrs. Davidson was a beautician, and a restaurant manager at Shoney's. Jessie Kate Davidson married Thomas J. Davidson Aug. 8, 1955, in his parents home at Maben, Miss.
Funeral services are Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 3 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include husband, Tommy Davidson of Pheba, Miss.; one daughter, Christi Davidson Keeton (Frank) of Maben, Miss.; two sons: Ricky L. Davidson of Pheba, Miss., and the Rev. Johnny L. Davidson (Linda) of Vardaman, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Sims Vail (Jimmy) of Carrollton, Ala.; three brothers, William "Bill" Sims (Carol Jean) of Montpelier, Miss., Roy L. Sims (Doris) of Columbus, Miss., and J. R. "Ronnie" Sims of Montpelier, Miss.
Pallbearers are Tommy Springer, Eddie Strickland, Ted Walker, Danny White, Stuart Vail, and Frank Walker.
Honorary pallbearers are The Deacons of Pheba Baptist Church, The Adult Class III, The Ella Carty Sunday School
Class, and the Rev. Charles Dampeer.

Visitation is Sunday, 1:30 until service time at Calvert Funeral Home.
